64 bit Solaris 10 under VMWare Server 1.0.3 on Linux with Oracle

CentOS 5.0 and VMWare Server 1.0.3 have been installed on the box been assembled utilizing following hardware: CPU Core2Duo E6600 2.4GHZ, board ASUS P5B Deluxe, 2GB RAM, 160 GB SATA HDD Seagate Barracuda. Host Controllers Intel ICH8R and Jmicron JMB 363 both running in AHCI mode.

As average, Oracle Installer showed up the speed pretty close to it’s speed on the box with Pentium 4 , 3 GHZ (HT, 800 MHZ bus) on Intel 865 PE-A board, equipped with 1 GB RAM and 80 GB IDE HDD.
