In Part 1 of this introduction to using Java and SimpleDB, you will learn how to leverage Amazon's own API to model a CRUD-style racing app. In Part 2 learn how to refactor the racing application from Part 1 to be compliant with the JPA specification. Then you'll port the app to SimpleJPA, which implements a subset of the Java Persistence API
