Back up files with Déjà Dup (Linux Mint 11)

This article is about how to back up your files with duplicity's graphical user interface déjà dup, a file based backup program. I have tried the tutorial on the Linux Mint 11 distribution, but it should work fine with all other Ubuntu based distributions.
