Using an external USB hard drive with Linux


This quickie guide includes preparing a USB drive that has no partitions already on it. If your USB drive already has a filesystem on it you can skip the fdisk and the mkfs steps...
Got the chance to mess around with an external USB hard drive for the first time today. Thought I'd document the commands I used to get it going in Fedora Core, just in case anyone else has issues.
