A three-page review of the free version of the Xandros Linux distribution...
Xandros Desktop OS 3.0 is available in different editions, catered to different user types. There are three kinds of home editions: Deluxe, Standard and Open Circulation Edition (which is the only free one), and Business and PowerTerm editions for business users (obviously not free). We're only going to look at the free version of Xandros: the Open Circulation Edition, or OCE for short, for the simple reason that it's free. While its full-featured as far as an operating system is concerned, it does have some "free" limitations: maximum 4X speed CD burning and no DVD burning support. Not something I can live with, so later on I'll try to work around it.
