Review: Linspire 5 for Linux Newbies

This review is oriented toward Windows users and those new to Linux...
The installation was such a breeze to go through, I don’t even remember it. Linspire is the only operating system, that I have seen that is easier to install than Windows. Linspire gives you two options, install or a update (for previous users). Install will erase everything and prepare your system for installation. Update will erase everything except for your home directory (think Windows “My Documents”) where all your documents and settings are stored. Once you get past that, Linspire will ask how you would like to install the system, Take over, or Advanced. The take over method will take your entire hard drive, regardless of any other OS’s (i.e. Windows). Advanced allows you set aside a portion of your hard drive for Linspire use.
