Book Review: MySQL in a Nutshell

MySQL in a Nutshell lists for about $40.
Personally, I found the chapter on the Perl API to be the one that justified the cost of the book for me. The chapter assumes use of the DBI module (part of the core MySQL installation) and it cleverly uses the analogy of a bookstore throughout to show how to interact with the inventory and manipulate the data as needed.
