Install Ubuntu on external USB drive

This blog is about my expoerience of installing Ubuntu/Kubuntu on an external USB drive.

Through painful experience and sleepless nights, I finally figure out how to install Ubuntu or any kind of Lux distro to an external USB drive.

The key idea is to modify the mini ramdisk to start USB support module during the boot sequence.
